Ruth first began working in radio in the mid 90’s whilst living in Israel, presenting on two stations based in Jerusalem & Tel Aviv.  Returning to the UK in 2003, she has presented on various internet radio stations both in the UK and USA and is currently a permanent presenter on JazzFM.

Ruth comes from a musical family attending the famous Purcell School of Music but her love of jazz began from her great uncle Aneurin Thomas who was a big band leader in Wales.    Ruth possesses a warm, enthusiastic and informative style both when presenting and interviewing.  Over the years, she has  interviewed artists including Al Jarreau, Christian McBride, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Kenny Garett, Jeff ‘Tain’ Watts,  Tim Garland, Billy Childs, Rene Marie and was the first person in the UK to interview Gregory Porter shortly after the release of his first album ‘Water’ in 2010.
