He started out in banking technology, because someone had to keep the computers honest, but quickly built a parallel life in the creative world. As an actor, he’s appeared across theatre, film, TV, commercials and Sky TV, and he’s been a proud BAFTA member since 2002. He also founded the UK Theatre Network and UK Film Network to support independent performers and keep the arts buzzing.

His radio journey began with Nevis Radio in Scotland, where he discovered the joy of talking to thousands of people while pretending he wasn’t still in his slippers. Later, he launched his own Spotify station, Lomond Radio, and continues to podcast with the enthusiasm of a man who genuinely loves a good chat.

When he’s not behind a microphone, Dougie is probably on a yacht, talking about yachts, or planning when he can next get back on a yacht. Sailing is his happy place — and yes, he will bring it up on air.
